The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), headquartered in Washington, D.C, US, is the largest source of development financing for Latin America and the Caribbean. The IDB supports Latin American and Caribbean economic development, social development and regional integration by lending to governments and government agencies, including State corporations.

I worked as an E-learning Production and Design Consultant for the IDB's Knowledge, Innovation, and Communication Sector under the Inter-American Institute for Economic and Social Development (INDES) from April 2017 to December 2019. During this time, I provided direct instructional design support and guidance to different Bank units, managed high-visibility training projects for both internal and external audiences, managed external vendors, and worked directly with subject matter experts, Bank officials, and team members to design, develop and deliver innovative online courses.

 

I served as Project Manager for the following training projects:

  • 2019 annual Ethics elearning course reaching approximately 5,000 Bank employees

  • 2018 compulsory Ethics elearning course reaching approximately 5,000 Bank employees

  • Access to Information Policy training package for the general public

  • Social and Environmental Safeguards elearning course for IDB Invest general public

The World Food Programme (WFP), headquartered in Rome, Italy, is the food-assistance branch of the United Nations. It is the world's largest humanitarian organization, the largest one focused on hunger and food security, and the largest provider of school meals.

Since August 2020, I have been working at WFP. My current role is Learning and Development Specialist, Consultant for the Nutrition division and previously as a Training and Communication Specialist, Consultant for WFP's Management Services Division (MSD) under the Asset Management Unit (AMU).

I have worked/am currently working on the following projects:

​

  • Serve as the learning expert for the Nutrition division, responsible for facilitating and supporting diverse learning and knowledge management initiatives 

  • Coordinate and facilitate multi-language learning sessions

  • Designed the training curriculum for the Asset Management Decentralization project reaching over 1,000 Asset Focal points globally

  • Developed an online tool used globally for an asset management exercise

  • Created a mobile application Frequently Asked Questions document for over 600 WFP users worldwide

  • Develop a short demo to showcase a newly available asset management tool
